Our lives are considerably changing right before our very eyes because of The COVID 19, Pandemic. Let us think about what we are doing about it. The most important thing to do now is to ask, believe, and co-create. As we move through this tedious journey, let us first ask ourselves, “What am I doing to help myself and others? Are we safe? Whose advice should we follow?” What I know for sure is that we can ask God, believe God, and co-create with God; we then can expect the right answers to all our questions.

Consider these words from the Holy Bible: “Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you. (Matthew 7:7)  As we sincerely ask, we should sincerely expect to receive. I feel deeply that our persistent faith will reward us with the answers we need in this, and other areas of our lives. My faith also tells me that God and only God, will take us to the other side of this pandemic with many renewed ideas and practices.

This is the month of May and we are working with the Divine Idea of Power. Will you join me in calling forth and strengthening the Power faculty that was already given to us in the beginning.

Power is a strong and impactful word, just to hear the word, creates interest and attention. Usually when we think of the word, we think of power over other people, power in the political arena, or power to amaze and mystify others.  No, we are not focusing on that definition; we are centering our attention on the awareness of the power-faculty in each of us. We are talking about rebuilding power in every person–the power, which allows the universality of God to move through us. Truly, Power is a gift from God, freely given–a gift to be employed in getting things done under God direction, only. The word Power needs completion–which means, power in what? In this case, spiritual power in us from God, through Jesus, the Christ.

Remember, when we co-create with God, we can find and embrace our “happy.” Our responsibility is to awaken mentally the twelve spiritual qualities by metaphysically planting the right seeds; watering them and watching them sprout and blossom.

A simple way to recall this attribute and its references is to think of the three P’s (PPP): Power, the faculty; Phillip, the disciple; and Purple, the color. The color purple is identified with power because it is a royal color that Kings wear as a symbol of authority. In this May celebration from Charles Fillmore’s Twelve Powers of Man, our purpose is to re-program mentally the cellular structure of the mind to re-set the spiritual faculty of Power.

Consequently, the more one thinks, speaks, and feels a certain way repeatedly in the conscious mind, the subconscious mind receives the idea, records it and stores it into the memory of the cells. In retraining, the playback reveals that the consciousness is re-set, and our thoughts, words, feelings, actions and reactions are reflected from the newly conditioned state of being.

Note that in re-building the Power attribute, we must consider its function. In Divine Mind, it represents authority and dominion relating to our ability to do, to accomplish, and to produce, always under God direction.  In man, power functions as formative thought, reserve strength and energy. The ganglionic body center is the root of the tongue, near the larynx–in the area of the vocal cords.

Phillip, the disciple who represents Power, was noted for his ability to spread the message of Truth as a speaker. He was a dynamic and appreciated orator who traveled to various places releasing spiritual power by way of the center of his vocal cords.

The power center in the throat controls all the vibratory energies of the organism. And, these energies become “thought capsules” called words. When spoken, they receive a “charge of power.” Certain energies will determine if the words come out with a charge of negative or positive intensity. Therefore, it is not only the words a person uses, it is how the words are expressed.

In Proverbs 18:21, the use of the power of words is confirmed. “Death and life are in the power of the tongue, and those who love it, will eat its fruits.” Jesus made reference to this concept when he said, “It is the spirit that gives life, the flesh is of no avail; the words that I have spoken to you are spirit and life.” (Jn. 6:63)

Fillmore says, “Voice culture may give one tone brilliancy, but every great singer has the soul contact.” Think of the best singers and speakers you have ever heard and note that the voice does not work alone, it must be combined with the spiritual intent of the soul. Paul agreed with this concept; when speaking of love. He said, “If I speak in the tongues of men and of angels, but have not love, I am a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal…” (1 Cor. 13:1)

Similarly, the disciple, Phillip, had the talent and spiritual energy to deliver very effective speeches as was revealed in the following scripture, it reads  “… and the multitudes were on one accord and gave heed to what was said by the disciple, Phillip. (Acts 8:6)Spiritual Power flows into one’s body from the Christ center at the top of the head and is released in the form of energy through the throat. Power is additionally released by consciously speaking positive, commanding words of Truth. When we are in tune with God, we can quickly release vital energy for any good purpose.

In conclusion, please join me in asking God to assist us in exercising authority, and dominion over  our thoughts and feelings to accomplish whatever is ours to do. Additionally, as we navigate through the current challenge, let us ask God to be the First Responder for us, as we do our part in the healing process. Shall we also combine and integrate the quality of Power with the other four qualities we have recently studied:  January, Faith; February, Love; March, Strength; and April, Wisdom.

And So it is. . .

Together,
we must know that
"god is our refuge & strength,
a very present help in our trouble."

Please know that the cloud we are currently facing has many silver linings.

12 Powers of Man
Meditation Sample

To the four faculties we have previously studied:  Faith, Love, Strength, and Wisdom. Feel free to add or delete from this sample meditation.

Sit quietly, Relax, be aware of your breathing; go within.

Place your center of attention at the crown of the head to acknowledge the presence of the Christ in you.

Then, Focus your attention at the base of the tongue or the throat area, and silently say, or think:

The Christ in me calls forth Phillip

My disciple-faculty of power.

The words that I speak are Spirit and life

And do accomplish that

Whereto they are sent

Next, let that focal point of attention travel upward to the faith center in the pineal gland in the head and know:

My faith in God gives my words mountain-moving power.

Now, drop your attention to the small of your back, the strength center:

My strength is sustained by

The power of Spirit

I do not weaken or falter.

Next, concentrate on the solar plexus, and affirm:

Infinite wisdom permeates my word

With intuitive ability to get

To the heart of the matter.

Now move upward slightly to the love center, the back of the heart, and silently whisper:

The power of love casts out all fear and breaks thought barriers.

Close your meditation by speaking the “Prayer of Protection,” and as you do, feel that a white light is flowing down over your entire body from the crown of your head to a few inches below your feet.

The color that is identified with Power is purple.  Kings wear royal purple as a symbol of Power.  Wear or hold something purple when meditating on the Divine Idea of Power.

Close meditation with the modified “Prayer of Protection” by James Dillett Freeman:

The Light of God surrounds me; I am light

The love of God enfolds me; I am love

The power of God protects me; I am power

The presence of God watches over me; I am Presence

Wherever I am, God is! And, all is well.
